Salu International is Here!

Salu International -- Company

Who are the founders of Salu Intl?

Ray Caron, chairman and principal founder, Mark Barnes (CEO), Damien French (Executive Vice President Marketing) and Tracy Hunter (Partner).

How did they meet and where did starting Salu Intl. take seed?

Ray Caron spent two years doing market and scientific research before bringing together the principal founders of Salu International, which officially became operational in November 2009.

Caron knew Mark Barnes through their experience with another MLM company.

Mark Barnes was managing the air traffic control center at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest, when he accepted Caron’s offer to become CEO of Salu International.

Damien French and Caron initially met when the two men were involved with an investment group in Mexico. French’s background as a corporate trainer, top earning MLM broker and marketing professional makes him ideally suited to lead Salu International’s marketing effort.

Tracy Hunter was a childhood neighbor of Caron’s wife and has been a close friend of the couple for more than 15 years.

Name: Ray Caron

DOB: 5.27.63

Hometown: Boston, Massachusetts

Brief bio: The principal founder and chairman of Salu International, Ray Caron, doesn’t just march to a different drummer; he leads the troops in a different direction.

“I had always wanted to build a business that was focused on two objectives: 1) developing natural products that promoted healthy living and 2) creating a business that would offer the most incredible compensation plan to the largest possible number of people,” Caron said.

Born and raised in Boston, after high school Caron moved to the Midwest and, in his twenties, started a farm. He earned his first “green” credentials in 1988 when he started Nature’s Advantage, a natural foods and supplements retail store.

From 1997 to 2006, he owned and operated a very successful wholesale tire company in Chicago. He built on his experience to launch another “green” venture, Pioneer Bus, an electric vehicle company. A few years later, Caron realize a lifelong dream when he founded Salu International.

“I feel blessed to have seen many of my ideas proven successful,” he said. “Salu International and its leadership team have everything it takes to help everyone who shares our passion to earn a fabulous income by helping people stay healthy, live longer with natural products.”

Caron lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and three-year-old son. When he’s not building Salu International into the world’s leading internet marketing business, he enjoys scuba diving and playing basketball.

Name: Mark Barnes

DOB: 12.2.61

Hometown: Jackson, Mississippi

Brief bio: Growing up in Meridian, Mississippi, Salu International CEO Mark Barnes was one of those electronics whiz kids. At age 8, he built an AM radio from scratch. While studying engineering at Mississippi State, he also DJed at a local FM radio station, worked as a professional photographer and flipped pies at Pizza Hut.

In 1984, Barnes completed the Federal Aviation Academy air traffic controller program in four months and was immediately assigned to the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport (a process that normally takes years). Since 1994, he has been managing the air traffic control center serving Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world’s busiest airport.

Barnes brings serious technical expertise, coolness under pressure and visionary leadership to his position -- qualities that support Salu International’s commitment to innovative product development, structural soundness and long-term stability.

Multi-tasking and managing complex situations, motivating and managing professionals in a high-stress environment, making split second decisions that affect thousands of lives every second of the day – those are the qualities Barnes brings to the Salu International management team.

Barnes sees Salu as “a personal wellness company, a work at home business with an incredible compensation plan, and a family-oriented, word of mouth, relationship-building company.”

A commercially licensed pilot, Barnes loves travelling with his wife and two daughters. The family has been to Europe and Asia and to Hawaii “about 30 times.” On weekends, sometimes Barnes will fly the family to the beach from their home in Fayetteville, Georgia.
