Two weeks after the pre-launch of the Salu International marketing program we are closing in on 10,000 distributors. For a brand new online enterprise, that is a very impressive number. But a lot of work lies ahead as we move through pre-launch and toward the “hard launch,” which is less than one month away.

“We are very proud and excited about the incredible start to our marketing program,” said Salu Chairman Ray Caron. “The response stands as testimony to two things: the tremendous effort by the Salu staff in preparation for the event and the program’s worthiness.”

“There’s no way you can have lunch with everyone in your cellphone address book,” said Bridget Bartholomew, Director of Information Systems at Salu. “It’s a lot easier and more effective to send a text, update your Facebook status, Tweet a message or blast an email.”

At this stage of the pre-launch, signing up for the Salu marketing program is free. New members don’t have to do anything – and that includes buying product.

When Ray Caron, Chairman and founder of Salu International, started the company, one of his primary objectives was to create an environment that would feel and function like a family. As a result, every independent Salu distributor is encouraged to carve their own path and strive for their own goals, secure in the knowledge that a steady, reliable support network has got their back.

 

Caron, as well as Salu CEO Mark Barnes, live near the company headquarters in Newnan, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, the state capital. The families, who have known each other for years, enjoy socializing, playing golf and grilling out together when time and schedules permit, which is an all too rare occurrence these days.

 

Ray and Stacy Caron have been married 15 years; their son, Cooper, was born in 2008. Caron says that one of the motivations for starting Salu was to have a business that would allow more time to spend with his son.

 

“I’m there when he goes to sleep every night and when he wakes up in the morning,” Caron said. “And he sees his grandparents every day, which I think is very important.”

 

Caron and Stacy love going to the park and the zoo and “doing things outside” with Cooper. Dedicated travel bugs, mom and dad love looking forward to their son tagging along on future adventures.

 

“Cooper loves Mickey Mouse, so I’m sure we’ll be visiting Disney World as soon as the Salu launch is successful and things settle back down to a manageable frenzy,” Caron said.

 

An accomplished pilot and air traffic control manager at the world’s busiest airport (Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport), Barnes refers to his family as “my greatest success.”

 

Married in 1990, Barnes met his bride-to-be, Amy, at a party. “It was love at first sight,” Barnes recalled. The couple has two daughters, Chelsea (11) and Chloe (8), who love swimming, golfing and Justin Beiber, although not necessarily in that order.

 

The Caron and Barnes families are similar in many ways. Conservative and traditional in terms of values and lifestyle, they are very active in their respective church communities. They’re frank, open and sincerely committed to each other’s health, happiness and success.
